Cancellation of Registration

Cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received more than 15 days prior to a programme’s start date will incur a charge of 10 percent of the full fee; for cancellations received between seven and 15 days prior to a programme’s start date, 25 percent of the full fee will be charged. Cancellations received less than seven days prior to a programme’s start date will incur a charge of 100 percent of the full fee. If a registrant fails to attend without notification, or if a withdrawal occurs on or after a programme start date, full fee will be forfeited.

If LeishTon Academy cancels a programme due to low enrolment, registered participants will receive a refund of any tuition paid, or be allowed to move their registration to a future running of the programme. Refunds from cancelled programmes can also be applied to other open-enrolment programmes.

Please note that in all situations, participants are responsible for their travel and LeishTon Academy cannot reimburse for any travel expenses that may have been incurred.

Refunds and Transfers of Registrations

Participants who need to transfer to another LeishTon Academy’s programme can do so within one year of the start date of the original programme. Requests to transfer received seven to 15 days prior to the start date will incur a charge of 10 percent of the full fee; requests received within seven days will incur a charge of 25 percent of the full fee. The remaining balance can be applied to another LeishTon Academy programme or refunded within one year of the original programme date.

Please note that 100 percent of the full fee will be forfeited if one of the following occurs:

• The registrant does not enrol in another programme within one year of the original start date.
• The registrant has not requested a refund within one year of the original start date.
• The registrant transfers more than two times.

Substitutions

If a request to substitute a registrant is received in writing prior to a programme’s start date, LeishTon Academy may, in its sole discretion, permit the substitution at no additional charge if the candidate is qualified.

Application, withdrawal, transfer, and fee benefit policies apply only to our open enrolment programmes. Different policies are in place for our other programmes, including Customised Programmes and Certification Programmes. Please see their respective pages for contact information.

Additional Benefits for Groups

When four or more participants from any one organisation attend the same programme, LeishTon Academy gives a 10 percent discount. This fee discount will be recognised in the invoice e-mailed to the participants’ organisation. All four (or more) participants must attend the same programme offering. Please note that the number of people from one organisation who can attend a particular programme may be limited, depending on class size.

 Advance Preparation

Any advance preparation to be completed prior to attending the programme, such as pre-readings, will be provided to you by LeishTon Academy, provided that full fee payment has been received before the start of the programme.

Insurance Coverage

LeishTon Academy requires that all programme participants maintain insurance for medical care, illness, and injury. LeishTon Academy is not responsible for medical expenses incurred while attending a programme. Please make sure that any private insurance provides valid coverage in Nigeria (for programmes domiciled in Nigeria) and Ghana (for programmes domiciled in Nigeria).
